Private Tuition


Please note that unless otherwise stated all one-day or half-day courses are carried out at a date of mutual convenience between Laura Windsor Etiquette Academy and the client.

Payment is due within 14 days before the course commencement date.


Once a date and venue has been arranged, and payment has been received, clients will receive an email with final confirmation and arrangements for the day. The tuition will not go ahead until full payment has been received.

If the client pays in full because the group course was booked only a few days in advance and the client falls sick, he/she will be able to attend the next group lesson.

Proof of payment must be sent to the Academy if a course is booked within a week of the commencement date.

 

Postponements are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Group Courses
 

Payment Term

 

For all bookings, full payment is requested to confirm the booking, unless the course is booked more than 8 weeks in advance, in which case a 50% deposit is requested, with the balance payable 14 calendar days before the booking commencement date.

 

Once payment has been received, clients will receive an email with final confirmation and arrangements for the courses. No places can be held without full payment.

Deposits are non-refundable, unless the booking is cancelled by The Laura Windsor Etiquette Academy, and can also be transferred to a future booking.

Payment is made by bank transfer.  All payments received must be in British pounds.
Payment by direct bank transfer may be subject to additional administration fees, with all bank transfer fees to be settled by the client.

 
To comply fully with UK anti-money laundering legislation, further information may be requested before bank transfers can be completed, including full details of payee account and, for larger payments (above £1,000), proof of ID may be required.



All payments received must be in British pounds.
Payment is required via bank transfer. Details will be provided on booking. All bank transfer fees are to be settled by the client.  Proof of payment must be sent to the Academy if a course is booked within a few days of the commencement date.

 
Cancellations & Postponements
Postponements are considered on a case-by-case basis.


Cancellation fees: within two calendar months in advance: 50%, up to 2 weeks in advance: 75%, within 8 calendar days prior: 100%. If a student is not able to attend any group courses last-minute, for whatever reason, he or she will be offered a private lesson to make up for the lessons lost or be placed on the next course. Unfortunately no refund can be issued.

 

In the event that a course with a stated or unstated minimum number of attendees does not meet the minimum number, The Laura Windsor Etiquette Academy reserves the right to cancel the course. A full refund will be offered to fully-enrolled students within seven working days. The Laura Windsor Etiquette Academy cannot be held responsible for any expenses incurred by students due to a postponement or cancellation of a course.

The course will be postponed by Laura Windsor Etiquette Academy should the client fail to complete and successfully submit the required registration form.  No money will be returned but the course will be moved to a new date of mutual convenience; any additional venue or travel costs will be passed on directly to the client.


Any deposit or pre-payment made by Laura Windsor Etiquette Academy on behalf of a client to a chosen venue/supplier is subject to the venue/supplier’s terms and conditions and may not be refundable.  If the terms and conditions of the venue/supplier necessitate a non-refundable deposit then the client will accept that their own deposit made to Laura Windsor Etiquette Academy may not be refundable.

For private bookings, any deposit or pre-payment made by The Laura Windsor Etiquette Academy on behalf of a client to a chosen venue/supplier is subject to the venue/supplier’s terms and conditions and may not be refundable.  If the terms and conditions of the venue/supplier necessitate a non-refundable deposit the client will accept that their own deposit made to The Laura Windsor Etiquette Academy may not be refundable.


Damages
Any costs incurred through damage or breakage to any venues, properties, belongings or equipment owned or sourced by Laura Windsor Etiquette Academy or affiliated companies will be covered by the responsible party.


Audio/Video Recording
Video or audio recording of any class, seminar or workshop is prohibited unless otherwise agreed.  If permission has been granted, then it is understood that the footage/audio is used solely for personal use and will not be used for commercial gain or appear on any media or social media.

Laura Windsor Etiquette Academy may film or photograph a tutorial for internal or external marketing purposes. Students or clients who do not wish to be captured must notify in writing no less than five working days before the course commencement date.
